PATCH LANDSCAPING
Patch has been growing as a company since 1991; and has offered consistently excellent service to its customers since its foundation. Pictured to the left, is Patrick Hulne, mastermind behind Patch Landscaping and Snow Removal Inc. It’s hard to believe on this Polaroid shot, but it once was a one horse show. For the past twenty one years, Patch has been offering beautiful landscape designs, maintenance, as well as, snow removal for Chicago. We continue to grow everyday.
Patch Landscaping and Snow Removal pride’s itself with our amazing staff. Patch Landscaping would not be where we are today without our hardworking team. We love to have FUN, while getting the job done! Most of our team has been here for more than 10+ years. We focus on being there for our clients, because we like to get to know our client’s as they mean everything to us.

Kristen Hulne
Kristen Hulne (Owner)
Kristen graduated from National Louis University with a B.A. In education. She taught for CPS in an elementary school for ten years. When she is not here helping with administrative duties and keeping us on our toes around the office, she is busy with her and Patrick’s five Kids! The “office mom” loves to keep everyone laughing and working hard.
Kristen loves everything there is to do outdoors! You can find her hiking, biking, and boating. She volunteers time in the kids school and with the Girl Scouts of America mentoring young girls. She is active in the church and community whenever possible. Finding time to laugh is as important as finding time to sleep. We do much more laughing around here! Kristen is fiercely proud of her Patch family and little “Patchlings”at home too
Megan Andersen (Landscape Designer/Sales/Manager)
Megan was born in Des Moines, IA and graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Landscape Design and Horticulture, and a minor in Business from the University of Iowa. Megan moved to Chicago about 5 years ago to pursue her passion in the best city in the world.
Megan is the head designer and one of the general managers at Patch Landscaping and loves being apart of the Patch family.
Megan has a passion for anything outdoors, biking, snowboarding, having fun, hanging out in Lakeview, music (aka dance parties and concerts), traveling as much as possible, and her friends and family.
Matt Gerken (Hardscape Designer/Sales)
Matt is originally from Hayward, WI. He has over 7 years experience in hardscape design and installation (patios, walkways, firepits, etc.) Patch Landscaping is very fortunate to have him as a member/foreman of our team. He has amazing craftsmanship and hardscaping is his passion. He currently lives in Rogers Park and enjoys being active outside, the Greenbay Packers (sorry Bears fans….), and is always up for a good time!!!
Horacio Galvez
( Snow Removal/ Construction )
Horacio has been with Patch Landscaping from the very beginning. Horacio has been plowing snow for more than 10 years with Patch. Whenever Horacio is not working at Patch you can find him hanging out with his family. He also enjoys dancing, car shows, biking, and just being with his family and friends.
Christina Contreras (Office Manager / Bookkeeper)
Christina is from the Northwest side of Chicago. She graduated from National Louis University and is our newest member at Patch Landscaping. Christina enjoys singing at her desk while punching away on the calculator, or having deep conversations with clients. While she is not at Patch landscaping, she has a passion for cooking and is an amazing chef. She also enjoys spending time with her family, dancing away the weekends, and traveling. Patch is very lucky to have Christina on our team and she never forgets any teammate’s birthday! YEAH, BIRTHDAY CAKES!!!!!!!
