WHERE IT ALL STARTED FROM
Patrick A. Hulne (President)
Patch Landscaping and Snow Removal was started in 1991 with the goal of being an owner operated company that could provide educated and competent service to its customers. Patrick, started gaining experience in the landscaping industry when he was sixteen years old by maintaining the yards of his neighbors and later working for various landscaping companies around Chicago.
Patrick enrolled at Illinois State University so that he could learn more about the field of landscaping. He graduated with a B.S. in Agriculture Business with a horticulture sequence.
After graduation, Patrick thought he had gained enough experience that it was time to start his own landscaping & snow removal company and thus Patch was born.
By the way, the name Patch comes from Patrick’s grade school neighborhood, St Ignatius in Rogers Park by Loyola University. During the 30’s St. Ignatius was known as a little “patch” of Irish in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood. Today, Patrick continues to live and work in the neighborhood where he grew up and decided to honor the now closed St. Ignatius by naming his company Patch.
Patch has been growing as a company since 1991 and has offered consistently excellent service to its customers since its foundation. For the past nineteen years Patch has been offering beautiful landscape designs and maintenance as well as snow removal for Chicago and we continue to grow everyday.
